Nicholas Wyman, CEO and Founder
Nicholas Wyman is a workforce development and apprenticeship expert, speaker and author who has fostered a workforce development model that uses mentoring to shape the thinking, attitude, abilities and skills of people as they make the transition from school to work.
Nicholas applies real-world solutions to the challenges companies face in finding skilled employees. A Winston-Churchill Memorial Fellow, Nicholas has completed in-depth research into school-to-work transitions and skilled careers, and helped establish the P-TECH model in the US. Nicholas is on the Advisory Board of the American Institute of Innovative Apprenticeship.
Michael Sotire – Chief Strategy Officer
Michael Sotire is an advocate for lifelong learning who works to advance a more holistic continuum of STEM and entrepreneurship education, workforce and economic development. He strives to eliminate the silos that hamper the achievement of diverse socioeconomic goals and objectives.
Michael is the global director of Apprentice Power, a public private partnership that positions associations as catalysts for economic growth. The enterprise leverages investments in the creation of non-traditional apprenticeship models. Michael is a former Marine and Vietnam veteran who welcomes opportunities to help advance diversity and economic inclusion across all student and workforce populations.
Joanne Gedge, General Manager
Joanne Gedge has hands on international experience specifically in Australia, China and Singapore providing consultancy services for higher education institutes interested in developing partnership models. Joanne was instrumental in establishing a foundation that is charged with rolling out 14 P-TECH STEM schools.
Joanne assisted in the design of South-East Asia’s first mentored apprenticeship program. Joanne was part of the Low Carbon Earth Summit in China, as well as celebrating milestone for Apprenticeship in the nations Capitol, Washington DC. Joanne holds an MBA and has completed ‘Performance Measurement for Effective Management of NonProfit Organizations’ at Harvard Business School.
Andrew Sezonov, Training Manager
Andrew Sezonov has over 18 years of expertise in Human Resources; including facilitation of employment and training outcomes in various Industry areas. Andrew has facilitated many programs relating to Occupational Safety & Health (OSH), at a variety of levels, from entry level to senior staff.
Having qualifications in both the Business and Occupational Safety sector, Andrew has delivered quality training that is industry specific and fully transferable. Andrew is passionate about skilling up the next generation of trades people and ensuring Apprenticeships and Internships specificially, are seen as a viable and attainable pathway.
Simon Whatmore – MBA, BBus, Skills Mapping Associate
Simon Whatmore is an experienced policy and management consultant with broad project and functional management expertise. He has extensive experience consulting to government departments and agencies across strategic analysis, change management, organisational design, program management and evaluation projects.
Simon’s strong conceptual and analytical skills, public policy knowledge, understanding of governmental process and ability to build rapport and collaborate with a diverse array of stakeholders enables him to bring the best out of private and public sector relationships.
